    Day 24

A travel blog entry by broderzo on Jul 01, 2015

Today we woke up early, went to the train station and hoped on a train to Udine which is a very small town near Austria. When we got there we went to the tourist office and got some information about Udine. We firstly then went to these Churches. They were kind of cool but not amazing. After this we then decided to go to this store called Decathlon which is a huge and did I say huge kind of sports and outdoor store which is ...

A short walk to the nearest water station and off we go. Michael is happy taking photos along the way. Venice is quite ...

After looking at a lot of very disappointing murano glass I found some at the back of the academia that I liked. I tracked the designer down to his murano studio where he is a master of lamp work, I ended up purchasing a good few pieces, I've always liked the gold foil beads and the chap does charming cat sculptures. I'd spent quite freely and I got a free pendant thrown in, the master ...

Venice Day 3 - Island Hopping

We started the day with a water taxi ride to Murano and guided tour of the Marco Polo Fornace (furnace, I guess) where they make exquisite glass pieces. Murano glass is world famous and Nissan felt the need to name one of its cars after it. I fail to see the connection unless they were alerting potential buyers to the fragility of the vehicle. Because the taxi ride was free we had ...
