... seen and spoken to, to date.
Set off mid morning to drive through Gorges du Verdon, again another stunning drive. This time though the weather was kind to us and we were able to get out for a hike after lunch. It seemed like a popular drive as we encountered several other tourists, one couple were eating lunch at the same spot we were. They packed up their picnic, took a swig out of ...

Sainte Maxime, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France lahildenbrand... below.

Oddly, we haven't seen as many sports/exotics over here as you might think. There are a few Porches here and there. Big deal.. Some Ferraris but again not as many as I thought I would see. Oh and a couple of "greasers" in Lambos (Good God..! This could be a blog topic all on it's own, so I'll discuss in person over a glass of wine with the quiz winner)... So, what was the most spotted and ...
Cannes, Provence, France travelingmooresWe've entered France, our final stop before heading home. After over two weeks in Italy, as we were just getting comfortable with the language, the customs, the rules of the road and cruising speeds... what a shock it was to "Cross the border". Suddenly, all that was familiar was gone, a foreign language, road signs we were unable to decipher and we're exhausted from the road.

We're not ashamed to admit that after three + weeks of living out of suitcases (fortunately ...
Cannes, Provence, France travelingmoores... the wonderful "fun" and "vitamin" radio stations to keep us entertained with "Evacuate the Dancefloor" and 3 other dance songs that they kept repeating.

http://picasaweb.goog le.com/Jonny.D.Lawrence/20090928Cannes? authkey=Gv1sRgCPHzqZ_hy_fA8AE&feat= directlink

Fréjus, Provence, France qyzhang... the speed of the boat as it sped across to St Maxime. Jess and Millie spent Thursday saying good bye to the park and swimming pool and water slides they have immensely enjoyed these past couple of weeks. The next campsite hasn't got a pool, but we think it is right next to the beach, so hopefully that will make up for it to the girls. So good bye to France, and what thanks for the great time we've all had. Fingers crossed that Italy lives up to our adventures so far!
Fréjus, France goughfamilyinpa... sheep, some goats, some cows and I believe some pigs as well. I don't remember seeing any chickens...I think I saw a donkey as well but don't remember. I think that they were going to hold the play that night and the next day (Remember this was Christmas Eve). Then on the other side of the manger I saw an old Romanesque looking church. I decided to walk in side to not only see what it looked like, but also to get an idea of when ...
Nice, France swisherd(S) Antibes was the first stop on our little tour around the Cote d'Azur and Provence. Our apartment was in a perfect jump off spot for day-tripping around the area. (C) In college, I spent a couple days in this neck of the woods looking for the perfect place for my family to stay when they came to visit. Something on the water, easy to get to, classy enough for adults, not expensive. Oh yeah, and I don't have a car. So I can just walk ...
Antibes, France gr8escape... with the 200 ft tall flak towers in Vienna, (they are 40 foot square with 10 ft thick walls- built in 1942 - 1944 as anti-aircraft gunfire platforms and now considered a Viennese eyesore by the locals but with no current idea what to do with them. They are impossible to tear down. One has become a GIANT aquarium! Enough concrete was used in these structures that the city of Vienna could have built every citizen of Vienna an apartment! Next stop - Prague
