It's official, I am 50! Spent the morning in France, entered Italy by noon. The last couple hours in France were hiking up to the col de la seigne, with magnificent views! It was great arriving in courmayeur, a quant and cosmopolitan Italian town. We arrived at a decent hour so had some time ...

... of interest,.. with a visit to the Ponte Vecchio and it's myriads of 'bling' shops to finish the day. I have to complement both of the Ladies,.. they were very strong and didn't break out the credit cards at all. Another casual meal at the La****ns hotel on Monday night and we both planned our departure from Firenze for Tuesday morning. Brian & Jenette headed for Portofino, while Coll and I set the GPS for Rapallo,.. it is now time for us to start our journey back ...

... to another refuge where we stopped and had some drinks (wine was excellent). It was getting late in the day and we started our descent to our refuge for the night - auberge del la nova. Wouldn't call it 5 star with the shared washrooms, but they are friendly and it was a very welcome sight at the end of a long day. According to my gps, we walker about 20km and took about 9.5 hours to complete the day - wow! No cell phone service or wifi here, so this will be posted later when we reach ...

... also found a Farmazia for stuff but the fish oils are rare and very expensive here. We eventually had a very hot, very long walk home. The heat challenged both of us but I have a cough and it was a struggle. Cool down and now Craig is watching the Tour du France as they are cycling where he and Terry went cycling.
Wow! It’s all in Italian of course.

... marble bathroom and gorgeous courtyard. It is very warm here so we did enjoy our rest. We walked out for dinner and eventually found the Domus Ristorante/hotel. I had yummy spaghetti with Gamberi and rucolo and salad whilst Craig had a giant pizza. The views of the lake were magnificent. It seems like the Como area. The walk home was good for us.
