... br>Hotel was fantastic. 5 star luxury with sauna and steam room, which I enjoyed. Roof top pool overlooked the Mediterranean coast line. Ferrari's frequently pulling up out front with people arriving to gamble at the casino (the hotel has its own and is right next door to the main Monte Carlo casino). €500 notes being handed over at casino tables.
I went to the main casino on one night with high expectations. It was v quiet. Probably ...

we also went to Montecarlo.. fantastic.. even swa a kart race in Monaco... had a look at the MonteCarlo Casino.. impressive if only for the flashy cars and people with too much cash ...

... Monday’ by the Bangles at the airport. Too true...
12hrs after i checked out of my Barcelona hotel, i am in Monte Carlo!!!!! Luckily got the last bus from the Nice airport to Monaco. Amazing bus trip here. I think i was wide-eyed and jaw dropped for much of it. Although it is night, you can see some amazing views, yachts and cross some bridges with HUGE drop-offs down into the coastal valley. The streets truly are Grand Prix style. Can't wait to ...
Just paid a fleeting visit to St Tropez on the way to Avignon (so we thought)... had to be done really.. a quick wander around and a very quick coffee. It was much smaller than I thought. Lots of nice boats but loads of tourists too.... that was about it!
... and small delis. The driver parked the bus on the steeply sloped parking lot about 2 blocks from the town and we walked up the mountain the last few blocks. Here on the top of the mountain there are mainly just walks up or down the mountain with vary few level walks. But we were in good shape and the ups and downs added to dramatic look of the town built literally on a mountain top. So we walked past a large outdoor café with a larger dirt field in front. This was the local ...
Cannes, France danharriet... some nice twisties. Lunch in Carpantras (Steak and Chip buttie for 4Euro!) and then on to Cannes. More tolls and busy motorways (toll booths in a RHD car with no passenger require some serious agility). The hotel in Cannes is a low key affair, and very easy to miss...
Cannes, Provence, France kaiserb_ukCannes Cannes may be the famous location of the international film festival that is so well known, but if the French Riverera has a "slapper".... it's Cannes. At least during the day. During the day, the boardwalks and streets are full of overtanned-white-linen-pant-and-gold-ch ain-wearing wrinklies, (like a Miami beach scene from Revenge of the Nerds or something) and an assorted array of other people, mostly oddly dressed (maybe that's us ...
Cannes, France andoandbridget... general. We expected them all to be clean, safe, party places full of all manner of great people looking for a good time. We were to find that this was not necessarily the case. The place we stayed at cost the same as the Kabul had, but that was where the similarities ended. For one thing, our room joined on to the managers' room, and she, for want of a better expression, was a *****. We had our own shower, but get a load of this - the light switch was on a four minute timer, and ...
