... we parked at the fort in Collioure. Also possible to stay at the fort gratuit when other motorhomers are there. We also noticed a road ascending towards a high hill with a tower on it so another venture for next time. Enjoying the sight of snow on the top of Canigou and the clear air but very windy this ...

Having planned to head into Spain we rose early, found a wifi sport and then took the auto pista past Barcelona down to L'Ametlla and arrived early, claimed our favourite pitch and have been sat put in the sun since 1500 hours today. We decided on one more night at Caranca Gorge as it is so peaceful. Enjoyed salmon on the BBQ, Veuve Clicquot champagne with a light salad starter and lovely local walnuts for pleasure with our evening coffee. Great to see that the Veuve Clicqout champagne is by appointment to HM Queen Elizabeth II, rather good for a French champagne!! A pleasant night too and this morning the decision, at last, to head into Spain. So, off to Collure ...

      Back to Caranca Gorge

Back again (village name is Thues entre Valse) as it is always quiet there, well sheltered and of course flat so a better night's sleep. Super BBQ and then Thursday morning off to the Thermal Baths again, still brilliant and now having a cuppa cola before we make any decisions about what and where ...
