I've really enjoyed watching French television during my trip, especially the channel Arte. Today, a program on one of my earliest passions, paleoanthropology, featuring none other than Richard Leakey. My Mom was kind enough to drive me to hear him lecture in Buffalo, NY when I was ...

... so we were on our own. The town of Lorient was devastated by WWII. 90% of the town was rebuilt in the 50’s. We walked into town and along the way met a charming couple from Liverpool. They have a holiday home in Florida (Dayton Beach) and consider themselves “Americans” cute no? This is their first voyage with Oceania, and clearly this is a mismatch! They were appalled by the Backstage show the other night ...

      Auray Le Loch to Salisbury

... leaving Vannes drove to Rennes Airport to catch the Flybe plane to Southampton. Was sad to finish our time in France. Learnt so much about the wars, William the Conquerer's life in the Bayeux Tapistries and seeing Monet's garden do house. Pauline met s there and drove us to her home in Salisbury. Great to see Pauline and David ...
