    Good evening, Yesterday evening I arrived in Bordeaux on the train from Paris. I was expecting quaint wine town, but was disappointed to find sketchy, drunken college town. A place I felt the need to clutch my bag tighter and try not to make eye contact with anyone. I dropped my stuff at the hostel then went out again towards the direction of the main street.     We are now 2/3 of the way down the French west coast and things are changing. Up north, thatched roofs, slate and clay tile roofs, no verandahs, traditional European housing, soft French accents. Down here, the Spanish influence. White walls, terracotta tile roofs, verandahs, and a harsher accent.
