      ... before returning to the train station. As it turns out we did end up missing our train from the main town back to Bordeaux. Thankfully we found a nice German/French couple who offered to take us back to the city as that was the direction of their home. All in all it was a terrific day, quite spontaneous even!       ... tourists. We are in an area where the French holiday after the main season and all the other terrorists have gone home. Very little English spoken but you can get by.

      There are marinas and boats everywhere. So much for the downturn in the French economy. Not many are for sale. The acrachon marina holds about 1500 boats and none of them cheap.
