After a lazy start we slip the bout and gear over to feel up and go onto the quay to explore . A stroll around the town and try to hunt some wifi proved quite difficult hence the delay in posting the blog. Some quaint streets and novel ideas but nothing too lively just a boat graveyard. When we return to the boat the customs boys are nearby again but this time they leave us alone. Dinner a shore for Eric to have his mussels and frites before setting off next morning to ...

We set an anchor watch alarm on the chart plotter in case we drifted, it works exceptionally well, if we move out of the 50m circle the alarm goes off and I mean a loud alarm!! French customs had sneaked up in a big ship with no lights, launched the rib and were ...

... conditions, we were hoping for a calm and comfortable journey to France. We were off St Anthony Head at 9.10pm with just the Genoa up watching the sun go down, at 11.15pm the wind had dropped right off so we had to put the engine on. During the night the wind picked up a little so both sails were up and we were happy to turn the engine off again and put the starboard side and back of the enclosure down ...

... with food, tried a crepe with a locally famous sausage that contained a mix of pork and seaweed. Rose also tried some, but Christine steadfastly refused the chance to sample this delicacy! All was going well, but then the family's friendly dog came to visit us at the table, upsetting both Rose and Emily who joined together in a chorus of crying. Luckily, the dog then made a quick retreat, ...
