... last night and the service was correspondingly bad. In fact after sitting at the bar for 10 minutes without being acknowledged I decided to have last drinks in my room.

The only reason I went to Fort Lauderdale was to get to somewhere else, and on that basis it’s been the most pleasant surprise of this trip. Elegant, laid back, pretty and with a great selection of bars and restaurants, I really wished I could have spent an extra day or two here to see some more.

We began our travels yesterday, Saturday, when we picked up our traveling companion Don, and the rental car in Clearwater.
