Mennonites and Maple Syrup

Johnstown was cute. It had all these shops and random museums, like the museum of hardware and the museum of maple syrup. Supposedly there's quite a Mennonite community there. Also a broom store, antiques, pottery and other randoms. There were these little chocolate balls at the bakery called rum balls, I had to try one. Anyway, again...I'll put pics up when I get home, they are the best.

Goodbye friendly city

... adventures and experiences with you all via my blog! I am even more pumped to be sharing this journey with one of my best friends in the entire world, Denise! I love when people ask the two of us why we wanted to go to Africa and do what we are doing. My response is easy: My Uncle Paul and his partner passed away from AIDS and I have always wanted to do something in his honour. So here I am, going to Africa where the effects of AIDS are ...

Another quick stopover..

Just here to reunite with the BF before heading down to Toronto and Niagara for the weekend! Absolutely nothing happening here.. I've only been here for a grand total of 3 days and it's already boring! :P Just grabbed him after his exam finished and walked to the mall and back, transferred everything from my pack back into evil duffel bag from hell [how i didn't miss thee..] and went to one of our friend's houses to crash for the night.

TORONTO TOMORROW WOO! :)

"Wait.. This is a city?"

... my newly purchased laptop charger in my hand, I walked just short of an hour and a half in blazing sun back to the school. Where I promptly collapsed for a good while on the sofa.

It got slightly better from there - BF and I walked back to the mall [a different, more confusing but shorter route!], had dinner and generally just chilled for a while, before realising how late it was and catching a taxi back to the school again. I ...

actually we are at Consecon, too small to show

we spent three days at Consecon, just south of Trenton, we rode our bike thru the back country lanes, watched beautiful sunsets and Brent went to the airshow in Trenton, Jo stayed home and did her nails!!! Or something.
This is a lovely part of the country.

Oh Canada

... we didn’t get close till 8pm when Susan suggested we check out an historic town called Niagra on the Lake. Very beautiful, sort of like Arrowtown but in brick and by a lake and in Canada but you get the idea. Everything was closed including the Vinyards we passed on the way – who would have thought there would be so many? The children- driving with bryn and Ross saw lots of deer but Susan and I were too busy gossiping to catch them. We stopped ...

... of the side of the tower. The first one caught us by surprise but then we were prepared for the next one. After lunch John had a stop to make and then they delivered us to our hotel. We had an early flight the next morning so we stayed in Auckland. So much for now, please let us know if you have received this, as we have had some computer problems. We will try and get caught up before too long Eric & Judy

... are going on! Kate is coming with me, so I'll have a friend from home as well. I think it'll be a really great time - a couple of days at sea where we can suntan, and the rest of the time in ports so we can explore! woohoo!!! should be a blast. :)

... on for all the new students - first years as well that brought some of the better canadian bands including the pilots, the stills, and kaos which were really great. i like dth first two bands the best but kaos was by far the best performer - his music was hip-hop sorta stuff but with a spanish guitar in there. Saturday was The Grease Pole. A tradition dating back to 1957 where a professor said to a couple of students if you can climb a greased football post and get the tam off the ...
