... got 21kgs though like today a long slow climbing.

Took a walk around town and down by the river and the usual Rosado and internet checks. Went and visited the old monastery which is partially embedded the hill behind. As with all Spanish stuff, much stuffed with different rulers over time, but neat all the same.

We had a long walk today - the longest listed on our itinerary - they said it would be 26 kms, Joanna's book said it would be 30 kms, and Amr's pedometer said we did 28 it was quite a big day. But we were in our rooms at Najera by 3.30 pm, having left Logroño at a bit before 8 am! Logrono has two streets, Calle Laurel and Calle San Juan which are the most amazing tapa streets. Supposedly these two streets have the highest density of tapa bars in the country. I just love it. Today, we went tapa hopping, like the locals do. Stopping here for one dish and a glass of wine and then moving onto the next tapa bar.
