    ... speeches processions music and suddenly it was enough. It was great for the locals we were revitalized and our legs wanted to go on. Toes....not so much. The last leg to Logrono was almost 12 km and had no midway village stops. The weather was really warming up and it would have been a bit daunting except that the track was smooth compressed earth and we really strode it out. Probably made the famous Logrono stall ...

    ... all seem to get caught up in saying ok will see you there tomorrow night and feel pressure to do the Kim's but hopefully I m starting to wind down and pace it better to really enjoy the time. That said it is always difficult when you know a very ordinary stretch opens before you and you just race through - don't think that will change.
    Arrived at Los Arcos and met up with a friend for dinner. It is amazing to be in a whole square and know half of them.

    Like the other day, when he told me he was just popping out to see them, I asked him how long he'd be - I probably needed a lightbulb changing, or something.

    "Oh, just two minutes", he says.

    Me (thinking, Logroņo's small but not that small, how is that going to work) "Oh yeah? Where do they live, then?"

    "Just upstairs, on the second floor!"

    Perhaps he hasn't quite cut the apron strings yet, then.

    Not much to say today. Had a rough morning .. Took 800 mg ibuprophen and felt terrible all day. Had to lay down mid day and sleep for a while. Weather has been good but forecast says heating up again tomorrow...uggggh. I'm starting to feel like I'm walking through a Spaghetti western the way the land looks around ...
