We had a crazy busy day today with a trip with Aldo DV up the mountain to above Viano in Switzerland to see Nonno and Bobs old houses. This was a grand trek of switch back roads and scary drops but Aldo took it in his stride and we arrived safe above the snow line to admire sweeping vies of the mountains and valleys and breath taking vistas of far away cabins. Aldo Gloria and their two children are upstairs. Luisa and Laura came to pick us up and dropped us off home ...

... used to ferry wealthy visitors around. Luisa then dropped us off at diveletsia? Which is a ski field on the way home. They continued home to meet Giulia while we caught the cable car to the top of the mountain to enjoy breath taking views and the cold along with a rather expensive salad and spag bog. We then headed back down the cable car and caught the red train back to Tirano via the same brennan pass. ...

    Welcome to the family

... well as precious. We are being housed in the first floor of the house with the ground floor being nonna and pidri. Claudio has made this house on the site of the original house but extended it back and up. It is still a work in progress but what he has done has already set him back 300000 and he expects to spend 200000 more before finishing. It looks great ATM but is largely unfinished with bare light fittings etc but the bathroom bedroom and living area are more than adequate for our ...
