We had a lovely dinner last night at our hotel restaurant. I had baked bass, Eldon had mushroom risotto, and we also had a side salad and a side of green beans. We were in Italy so it didn't cost us an arm and a leg.
We had a lovely buffet breakfast this morning as well. Eldon and I both wonder how these places can afford to stay open and serve such nice meals. I don't think there were more than 3 couples staying here last night.

Today we awoke to very promising weather, although it is very changeable and hard to predict. So grabbing the opportunity we boarded the Bernina Express and headed to St Moritz for the day. This scenery caper is now just getting ridiculous! What we saw was breathtaking, awesome and any other adjective your thesaurus can give you.
We started out in Val Poschiavo (the valley) which is almost 1000 metres above sea ...

It is filling fast. I think it is the only First Class carriage on this one. We ...
... s also very weird after having apartments to be in a hotel. No fridge, no tea/coffee facilities,
have to go downstairs for that and it gets put on your room bill! They do however provide free train travel between a number of stops on the Bernina Rail, and free entry to a number of public facilities including the pool and museum.
Enjoyed a very tasty (and expensive) dinner in the hotel restaurant and retired to our cosy room.
