... up for dinner. Prior to dinner, one of the leaders Howard gave a great explanation of the history of an olive oil orchard and their emphasis on quality. He brought 3 bottles for us to sample with our dinner. Very unique tastes that I would never think were olive oil - very flavorful and smooth. Dinner was unbelievable...there was again several antipasto dishes including breads, vegetables ...
... didn’t think it was the safest place to leave Lily, so drove off in search of somewhere else. I managed to find a stop which is pretty much now on the beach. I am sitting in my camper, with the doors open, listening to the waves wash up the beach. I’ve met some lovely Germans, who I spent a few hours chatting with, and even ate my dinner with them.
Moral of the story – trust your gut – something better is always just around the corner!
Day 264 2 hrs, 4.3 kms I figure I'll make one more stop before my next big destination of Livorno. So I hop off the train in the town of San Vicenzo and find... another beach town. This one does have bit more density to it, with a boardwalk and pedestrian street near the sea, and residential neighborhood up into the hills--probably mostly summer homes... Let's move ...
