... drove up, around and through, stopping at Porto Ercole to wander along the harbour and onto the sea wall. This is the town where Carravaggio died in 1610.

Up the coast to Follonica, a popular seaside town. Chose a hotel right on the waterfront with sea views, then joined the locals and tourists in their evening prommenade. Enjoyed a scrumptious pizza, fortunately in ...

A word or two on a nice little earner, the ol umbie and sun lounges beachside. Each bar / resort somehow lays claim to the sand and all that sits on top of it. If it is your desire to partake then cough up. I have studied at length over the last few days what tasks are within the PD of the sun lounge shifterer. I now ...

... garage and hear voices, as we get closer we see the word reception on the door, open it to find our very best new friend Erico (AKA Eric to his Aussie mates). We tell him our locked in problem but also ask on the off chance - any room at Villa Piani, you guessed it yes. Views of the beach bar on the beach right out front, beaches are flat and not busy season yet - so tick tick tick. He is a little hesitant as we are not his usual ...

... traveled and the people are not jaded.

Karen went in the very cold water when we arrived at Talamone then, after a picnic lunch prepared by our guides, we rod back to La Parrina on mostly flat roads with a tailwind mostly. It was nice to gather some speed on the long straight stretches.

Tonight, we have a cooking class where will learn to make Cantucci, a Tuscan cookie.

    A presto.
