... is to fondle her boobs for the photo. The men I can understand (they're boobs after all), but the women...hmmm. We walked through the old town, taking pics of the main sites, but it was a challenge for Al. Now the pizzas so far have been exceptional (no surprise), but we had a pizza slice to go and it was awful; thick undercooked dough and tasteless toppings. Still, it filled a gap. Back in Sirmione I visit the local pharmacy to get more meds ...

Today we started our journey north, destination Venice with a stop in Verona. Again it was another early start (7:30am departure). Today we start our guided tour leaving Mantova with all the team and our leader Marco. We left the boat at 9.30am and headed back round the Lago di mezzo and on the way passed a fisherman who had just caught a 7kg carp. We then headed past Lago Superiore. From here we rode through Grazie and stopped at the Catholic Church for a look. From here we rode through Rivalta sul Mincio where we stop again for a spell. The day is heating up rapidly and ...

... bridge dates back to the 10th century. From here we rode on to Pozzolo where we thought we would have lunch but could not find anything suitable so we boxed on to Marengo but everything was shut here also. As we were now very hot and hungry we stoped under a shop verandah and ate the fruit that we had between us and finished the water we had that was by now rather warm. Soon after the shop owner apeared and looked quite amused. We asked where ...

Something strange happened in the amphitheater...

My trip on a so-called "fast" FrecciaBianca train was eventless--although they really shouldn't call it a "fast" train when all it has different from the other regional trains is its livery. Also, I think it was a train only for locals--not a single announcement was heard on the train and if I hadn't known where I was getting off, I might have ended up where the train went after Verona.

Since the left luggage office opens up ...
