Up at 5.30 & off to return the car at 7.00. Finally arrived at Gatwick airport at 7.30 & the plane left at 10.15 for Verona. Arrived in 90 minutes & took the shuttle bus to the station & a taxi from there to our Residencia. It isan amazing place with beautiful old furniture, cooking facilities & a lounge area, about 3 times as big as we had envisaged.

... Soraighe". Great tasting, full body with a very nice finish. We even tried to buy some locally but could not find it. There is a website for it however - www.soraighe.com.
The tour was a great way to get a first look at old Verona, a classic Italian town with a lot of old Roman construction including a remarkable arena.

We completed our wine tasting / tour of Verona about ...

... Juliet's courtyard is covered in love graffiti. It is all scribbles of love notes, and it is really cool to see. After we spent a good 10 minutes in there, it was time to find some lunch. We found this cute place with outdoor seating called Ristorante S. Eufemia. I had the best homemade gnocchi ever there. We only had a short time in Verona, so after lunch we only had about 30 minutes to look around and get gelato. I definitely recommend going to Verona. It was the ...
