Conor had a connection at the USOC (United States Olympic Training Center), who is good professional friends with a man who works in sports technology for AC Milan, Lukka. Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...
... Our hotel was old but had been renovated with an attempt at modern. After hours of walking since morning, we welcomed the teeny tiny lift that was to take us to our 6th floor "apartment". Luckily it's limit was 3 persons, but with the luggage and backpacks, we were definitely over the weight limit. The desk clerk helped Travis by pushing on his shoulder so the door would close. We had a major laughing fit as we could hardly breathe much less move.
