... local supermarket and the fruit and vege shop. you have to put on a plastic glove to choose your fruit and veges and their choices are very basic, not spoilt like we are! Larry was very interested in choosing some vino and beers that seem to be in plentiful supply. I think I could have stayed in Canneto a little longer... It is gorgeous. ...

... did it again the next day, and the day after that as well. In the evening, we went into Bagheria to a restaurant recommended by Gaetano. We don't have a GPS with this car so I looked it up on google and wrote the directions down. ... street, the signs gave out. Dead reckoning and swearing eventually led us back on track more than a few times. Not sure if it is easier to steer or to navigate but we were both a bit frazzled by the time we got to Cefalu and found a park. ... Flynn and I went to the beach. Bronte was very nervous and did not want to go. But by Jo's account she perked up once she got into the doctor. He checked her eyesight and she enjoyed reading out the letters for him. Apparently she has an infection in her eye - perhaps the pool at Piegaro or, more likely, the water park at Tavernelle - and he prescribed her some antibiotic drops.
