... pulled from both directions to get them up on their stilts, quite a practiced skill. We started early at 7 am in a maxi with Yvonne and Heinz and their friend Hedwig. It allowed us to find a good spot to watch the parade. After listening to the dignitaries speeches it began. A procession of the most amazing, incredible tribal costumes and bands. Trucks with drums beating, whole tribal families dressing in identical material and the locals dancing reggae style on ...

There were 2 pan bands (Playboyz and Harvard's) and also a couple of live performances from local artists. They have music in the background and just sing over it. No band. Just a backing track. He was quite enjoyable.
