A quick walk brought us to the church and its adjacent monastery where we could do the entire tour before closure. d
The other attraction of Cefalu is the Temple of Diana at the top of the hill in the middle of the city.
It is an archeological site where there are remnants of old civilization and most importantly you climb almost 200 metres and get a spectacular view over the city from the height. It was well worth the climb.
... but overall it is not really a nice city, like some of the other Italian cities.
We returned around five, did some shopping in a neighboring village and had a drink a simple dish at our own place after a short swim in the pool.
It was a nice day, warm as all the other days before, with lots of impressions and lots of activity.

Woke up around 7.30 this morning and no worries any more about biking in 40 degrees over mountains and other elements. We handed in all the bike gear to the hotel manager and had breakfast around 8.30. what a luxury, no hurries to be out on the bike before it gets too warm. From the hotel we took a tax to the airport to get our car. Another painful Sicilian experience. The voucher says to meet in the arrival hall at the desk, ...
... because we were right amongst it, where we could look down and watch the tour groups walk down our street.
Although the kids thought the best part was a gelato shop virtually under us.
The beach was a 1 min walk.

And there is a beach 30 meters down the street.
We walked to the beach and this beach is sand finally.
Riley, Zara and me swan straight away.
The water super nice and Riley and I swam and saw bubbles coming under the sand they looked cool.
