Phuket Island View

... explain as I need to.<br> I woke up at 8.30 and tried to ring three different scuba course companies. None of them answered so I went for a walk. I found a tour booking place just around the corner with a lovely older lady in there, and she sorted me out with a VIP ticket to the kickboxing tonight, a taxi there and back, and a hotel pickup to go for my scuba lessons tomoz. This cost about $200 all up and left me with around about $50 AUD. Then I went for breakfast, which was glorious ...

... the grip!!!!.... now why am i so small??! heheh! ... the next day i had a 'day off' from adventures... my whole body was battered with bruises, cuts, aches... etc etc... bt i went round town and chilled in the sun... which was nice to do in krabi! ... the next day i went on an adventure day of elephant trekkin, ATV (quad biking) .. water rafting... this will be in the next blog when i sorted out the photos!!! tk care.. keep in touch! k xoxoxo

... serenity sea view suite. The room was very nice and tidy - we were surrounded by romantic ambiences. Room decorated with roses and scented candles that my spouse really liked the smell. <br><br>We definitely had unforgettably wonderful experiences at Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort Phuket, that's why we would highly recommend this resort for newlyweds!<br><br><br>

The people on this minibus were not in the best of moods as they had been waiting 3 hours for us to arrive ... a French lady heading for Krabi and a German guy who boarded the bus with us had what you might call a personality clash and bickered at each other all the way, much to our amusement. The French lady must have been in her 70's and had been travelling non-stop for the last 30 years ... although she was a bit worn we imagined she may have been a French supermodel or ...

... Since this is my first trip to Southeast Asia, my visit to Phuket was the closest I have come to the carnage that devastated this region in the world (the greatest damage was inflicted on Sumatra and Thailand second). Close to 250 people died on Phuket alone on that day. With the tsunami in the back of my mind, I reached the beaches of Phuket in a particularly somber mood. This mood was attenuated by the constant reminders throughout the island ...

... had BBQ chicken and salad and watched swordfish in another bar. Railay is so relaxed, everyone is really friendly with a good atmosphere and community spirit. Day 2, Up to a pukka buffet brekkie with every conceivable foodstuff and scrambled over the rocks to the west beach for more pinkness. We could only get round at low tide so after getting burnt again we went over to the east beach and explored diamond cave, very cool and a bit spooky when all the lights went out ...

... Therefore this photo is precious and meaningful, as it's the first time that I could make a trip with my great buddies! <br><br><br ...

... We piled into an open air bus and drove to Ao Nang. As we drove I found out it was a National Park right nearby Ao Nang, and resolved to come back here as it was so nice. Some areas people were walking through shallow water to tiny rock islands, I think that's much nicer than say taking a tour boat and almost drowning to another island. Yes. Must nicer. We wandered around Ao Nang and had dinner but along with a splitting headache and heaps of Indian men hassling us to buy tailormade suits ...

... We saw some bigger angel fish, like "Gill" in Finding Nemo. Near the end of our swim we came across an area busy with fish. There was a huge puffer fish near the bottom of the reef. Then I spotted a sea anemone at the bottom of a clear area, with 5 little orange clown fish. I went to the bottom and came millimetres from touching the biggest one of the bunch. That made my day. We then noticed that everyone else had gotten out of the water already ...

... even more beautiful beaches than either of my previous two long tail excursion experiences. Monkey beach, bamboo island, the cove where The Beach was shot, a sunset pass and much snorkeling made for a great day of excitement. I also met and got to know three guys from UBS in London who were extremely nice. Think I´ll give them a shout when I make it to London in July ...
