Today we took a day tour which took us to The Hill Tribes about half an hour out of Chiang Rai and then a trip to the Golden Triangle and a visit to the Opium Museum.

We were asked to take our passports (not photocopies) as there would be many checkpoints. Not sure if the check points had to do with the drug trade, illegal immigrants or the coup. The ones that we passed through were only manned by the police (not the army) and we were never ...

I've worked in the banana trees area, dragon fruit trees, the adobe house that is being built, and eating alot of good, vegetarian food. This clean living is pretty easy to get used to. There is ...

... runners. I really did enjoy all the huge carved wooden furniture though. Some of it seemed to be carved from an entire tree. It was enormous. The closest thing I think it reminded me of was the house of Beorn in the Hobbit, with the exception of all the deceased animal parts.

After the temple we travelled to the largest tea farm in all of Thailand. It was absolutely gorgeous with perfectly manicured rows of tea situated along the hillsides. ...
