... 8217;s natural beauty. The past three days of adventure and sightseeing in a more 'off the beaten path’ style have exceeded my expectations. I continue to be overwhelmed by the kindness of the people and the landscape that surrounds us.

After a 2 hour transit we arrived at Khun Sa’s training center. Again we were the only tourists (amen!). This is where Khun Sa (King of Opium) trained his military from 1976-1982 until he was forced into Myanmar by the ...

Here is a video depicting a little bit of what we were a part of: ...

One of the first things noticed was how nice the people are, in a similarly cute and sweet way like the Japanese. The first day was spent sleeping because after that bumpy bus and no sleep, we needed it. But out in the evening ...

... woman, Katerina, who has a coffee shop and gallery in Sweden ( sounded very much like blue-ginger) who was returning to Luang Prabang for the third time to buy textiles for her shop. Sounds promising!

The Mekong is wide, fast flowing, a muddy brown with craggy rocks and Sandy beaches along its banks. The boat captain drove skilfully through the deepest channels ...... in some places it was only one and a half metres deep. The ...
