    We picked up the bikes at BWW of Western Oregon and, after packing up the gear, we headed northwest to Astoria,OR. Twisty roads through Douglas Firs was spectacular. A real conflict between spirited riding and taking in the sights. And I don't know whether I like the smell of deep pine forest or the sea breeze better.
