      ... another family with a 17 month old daughter (riding in a pack!!) so the girls played with her, while her dad also braved the freezing depths. But it was WORTH IT! The falls were amazing. Along our hike back out, the girls noticed a Pika scrambling in the “Log Jam of Doom.” Apparently they are endangered because of global warming, and they can easily overheat in the summer.

      ... ferry. Next was Chinese for lunch, I think we ate more in Oregon than any other state, we Also slept more. At least we were well rested and ready to hit the road on Tuesday. During the week I went to visit a podiatrist to see if he had any insight as to why the tops of my arches hurt so much after a six or more mile walk.
