    ... another family with a 17 month old daughter (riding in a pack!!) so the girls played with her, while her dad also braved the freezing depths. But it was WORTH IT! The falls were amazing. Along our hike back out, the girls noticed a Pika scrambling in the “Log Jam of Doom.” Apparently they are endangered because of global warming, and they can easily overheat in the summer.
