    After lunch, we were off to view Shipwreck Cove (the island's most famous landmark). Along the backroads, our GPS eventually lost the plot and told us simply that we were "driving on a road"! However, we found our way (thanks to prior google research) and were rewarded with a view of the Ionian islands' favourite postcard view: Shipwreck Cove.

    Finally we drove back to the main town ...

    8.00am and we are about an hour out of Katakolon, we are just waiting for breakfast to be delivered......not what usually happens but we thought it would be good just sitting on our deck watching the coastline go by.

    After a long ride through Greece we arrived to port Kilini where we took a ferry-boat to port Zante on Zakynthos. From Zante it took us approximately 20min to Laganas, where we were staying. We want straight to the beach to swim. The sea is amazing. It is so clean, there is no garbage in water considering how many people is there. The beach is very long, there are many restaurants and bars. There is not so much place to put your towels and umbrellas, but ...

    As we had a few hours before boarding required we took time to look at a bit more of Venice this morning, also I had arranged with our hotel manager to take a private water taxi to cruise terminal and this avoid another 2-3 hr public transport episode. Cost was $90 Euros for about 1/2hr trip but saved 1 1/2 hrs as well as bag lugging. Could have arranged something similar the night before ...

    With the railway workers strike continuing we had an uncomfortable but free train trip back to Paris. Caught taxi to St Pierre de Corps station and arrived Paris Montparnasse station about 1 hour later. Flight to Venice was not until about 6 pm so had time to further explore Paris so stored our luggage at station and walked to Luxembourg Palace, museum Orssey and the St Germaine area.
