Packing up camp this morning seemed to be a bit of a task because it was cold and wet outside. We had a big drive planned for the day so we wanted to get an early start. Our first stop was a quick grocery shop at Walmart so we could stock up on food and also on warm weather gear preparing for when we go through Canada. We continued driving on towards silver falls state park which was our overnight stop. We ate lunch at a rest stop just off the side of the highway ...

We met John's parents at Bobby and Rachel's office shortly after the court proceedings. We were going to go to a nearby waterfall but our plans were changed by the persistent rain outside. ... offered food, some of which I had never heard of. Designer food for a hippiel clientele, I suppose (remember, old hippies go to Oregon to die). No hot dog vendors so we pass on the gourmet gastrointestinal delights.
