Phoenix, Arizona - ein Traum geht in Erfüllung. Da wollte ich schon immer mal hin.

Erst mal war ein Hotelwechsel notwendig, da im ersten Days Inn keine Kreditkarten akzeptiert wurden... Am ersten Abend dann der Besuch des Baseball Preseason-Spiels der San Francisco Giants gegen die Oakland A's, die beide ihr "spring training" in Arizona …

  • We came across a museum guide who told me he was a full blood Wyandotte American Indian, which was extremely rare and surprising considering how small the tribe is the fact that most of them live in Kansas.
  • He gave us a personalized tour, adding in special facts here and there about our tribe.
  • The exhibits were phenomenal.
  • We left the museum and went back to Mitch and Mattie's house for a dinner ...

    ... make it fun by having a contest for the kids to make "anything that flies" with their play dough. They had 10 minutes to create something and then my parents and Shaunette would judge them at their table next to us.
    Well, the kids put together their best efforts with Jadin making a plane, Kynser a butterfly, Aria made a lady bug and we're still not sure what Ayden made, but he ran out of time.

    And it's "hi" from Phoenix, Arizona. It's 100+F and there's nary a blade of grass to be seen.
    The van is very flash, we won't know ourselves there is so much room( 23 whole ft) and it has all the bells and whistles.
    Al was so excited he has paid for it without taking it for a drive!
    Our $ transfer is taking a while so we still have a rental car ...
