Merry early Christmas
... on the first. Had good meal and visit with the Aldsworth's
yesterday, today Bernice set up a table at a craft show in another area RV park and made a few
sales. We had a good supper tonight while watching the Pensacola Christmas Parade on our new
HDTV (early present). we had "Swamp Soup", much better than it sounds.

Salt Water Taffy
... the evening and had a great time watching the festivities, then we all enjoyed dinner at a local restaurant - a great way to spend our last night in Mobile. We were surprised to also see our friends from Oceanus, Cindy and Brian Deans, arrive back in Dog River Marina after spending their Thanksgiving in Arizona. This morning, Brian helped us cast off our lines as we departed.

today and now we are listening to a light rain on the motorhome roof.
Hope it keeps up till bedtime, makes great sleeping.
The trip down went much smoother than last year. No problems at all.
Now we have to find out what is going on down here and start planning

Official start of our 2012 vacation! Today we are traveling from "the rents" house in Foley, AL to Gulf Breeze, FL to check in at Portofino Island Resort. Stopped for a late lunch at Shaggy's, which consisted of oysters and beer. More of the latter I have to confess. Made it to the beach ...
Southbound!
Today we wake up to an extremely excited four year old. He knows today is the day and we are obviously not packing fast enough! We hit the road by 11 am, stopping in Montgomery about 1:45 for a late lunch and refueling. We are on a mission to surprise Tyler's grandmother, Honey, who is being honored with a reception in celebration of her 15 years as the CEO of e South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce in Foley, ...
