We have spent the last couple of weeks in very hot hotel rooms, layering up to go outside and face Arctic temperatures. I wasn't so bothered as there was no way I was jumping in the sea in the dark... Not for me! Yes I'm a chicken... But I'm a proud chicken! We then made it back to our resort in time for their hour's free Thai tasting session where we could try a few Thai dishes (I'd already tasted Thai food) but nonetheless it was tasty and free! We then ...

... bleary eyed we headed for the beach to cool off and recover in the fresh air. The contrast between the morning and when had been in the afternoon the previous day was surprising; the tide further out you were able to walk for hundreds of metres from the shore and be less than your waist in the water but also the busy feel wasn't there with people obviously still in bed. It was nice to be able to relax and perhaps see how Phi Phi used to be when it got its paradise tag. ...
