Phi Phi The Beach Resort Ko Phi Phi Don

Sabado 24 - Martes 27 El barco estaciona en el pier de la Don, donde se hace vida, pues la pequena Ko Phi Phi Ley, donde se rodo The Beach, el film que protagoniza el Leonardo DiCaprio, esta declarada como parque Natural y solo es posible su visita mediante tour programado. Aquí los precios son expensive sobremanera... para alguien como nosotros cuyo viaje es de larga duracion... Despues de atravesar toda la isla llegando al final de la Long Beach, damos a parar con el Phi Phi Resort el cual ...

"Where were you when .... died?"

A poignant moment in history. I remember being in Greece with my friend Marion and someone else, when our usual breakfast waiter came up and said "You hear the news...Princess Di...die..." We were a bit confused, thinking whether he meant the Queen mum, but yeah, that was true.

This time, Steve & I were about to go on a boat trip, and I quickly logged on from the pick-up place, and saw all the status updates on Facebook, relating to Michael ...

The short 55 minute flight from Samui to Phuket doesn´t change the scenery too much, but I still can see the evidence of the tourist destruction that I´ve heard so much about from other travelers. An hour later and Adi gets in without her bag, which is lost somewhere between Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. A quick decision puts us on a boat to Ko Phi Phi and we arrive in paradise with enough time to find our bungalow (The Beach on Long Beach in Phi Phi) and hit the beach for the aftern...

Today, Adi and I hopped on a long tail boat around Phi Phi. I start the boat trip out by setting the bar high with a story from my last boat trip in Ko pha ngan... While I could tell from the start that this group would not be as cohesive as my Pha Ngan family, I had hopes that the trip would provide just as much enjoyment. My expectations were not to be dashed and the trip provided even more beautiful beaches than either of my previous two long tail excursion experiences. Monkey beach, bambo...

Turen gikk med baat fra LAnkawi til Satun i Thailand, og videre med taxi (som vi delte med et par fra Tyskland) opp til Krabi. Der fant vi det vaerste Thailandske kvinnemennesket vi noen gang har moett! hun proevde aa lure oss - selge oss billetter for uker fremover til en hoey pris + at hun ikke var noe hyggelig eller forstaaelsesfull i det hele tatt! (Ane spesielt fikk et sterkt hat mot dette beistet) Men vi lot oss ikke lure for mye!! (tapte kun 200 bath - ca 40kr - saa vi overlever vel!) ...
