awesome location and on a really beautiful quiet beach with great water on Phi Phi, if you can afford it stay somewhere on Long Beach if you're in the 30+ crowd.

... they get less posh the further from the beach and up the hill you get. So it's probably no surprise that ours is the highest of all the shacks, on a steep gradient on 15ft timber stilts, and we only have the monkeys for company. Generally they keep themselves to themselves but occasionally a fight breaks out about a piece of mango. ... is brilliant. We had an hour on "the beach" before we moored in a small inlet on sunset. Our guides told us we could jump into the water and if we moved our hands really quickly we would see the luminescent plankton. It was really cool. Floating in the pitch black (there was only a sliver of moon), watching underwater lights dance around your hands, as you sip a beer - a great experience.
