Center of Ao Ton Sai Village Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand, 81000, 66-6-5951635

On Friday, my last day at the Wildlife Rescue Centre, I was joined by my sister Jill and our friend Ellie, who had come to Thailand on holiday. It was great to see some familiar faces after so long away from home and I really enjoyed catching up with them. We spent a day at the rescue centre, and I enjoyed showing them round and showing them some of the animals. It's nice that they have been here, as I think it's hard for anybody who hasn't been here to imagine quite what it is like, despite ...
Koh Phi Phi Don, Thailand annekWriting this hungover and with minimal sleep so please excuse spelling, gramatical and all other associated errors that will undoubtably accur! Been hitting the Sang Sung (for those in the dark - Sang Sung is a Thai whiskey/liquor) and redbulls hard recently and feeling the effects of a years quota of redbull in a 2 week period! infact, redbull is becoming less effective and so have turned to something called lipo plus!! It's well hardcore!!! So, Roger and Rob have now left but boy did we pai...
Ko Phi Phi, Thailand jeffsMonday morning in Railay beach, we packed our bags up and walked to the east side of Railay beach where we stood in the rain for the next 45 minutes waiting for the ferry boat. A few notes about traveling in Thailand - if they ask for your receipt before you get on your mode of transport, make sure that you always get a sticker back in return. This will save many headaches later on when you are explaining in really, really simple English that you have paid, and that guy 'over there' took your...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand katdWe arrived in Kho Phi phi tired and drained after two nights of travel. From Chiang Mai we caught an overnight bus to Bangkok. The four of us spent our last day together wondering the streets, eating food and drinking lots of beer. At 6pm Chris, Lauren and Christa said Goodbye to Dan (who was catching an early morning flight back to Melbourne), it was very sad and we all wept uncontrollably on our way to the train station. Yes, it was to be another night on the bus. A 14 hour bus ride to Sura...

Koh Phi Phi, Krabi, Thailand lucontour... a pet store. The water was so clear, the fish were everywhere, where ever you looked then you could see tropical fish just swimming about! After that we went to some pretty amazing beaches, including the beach off the beach! Which i can say is the best beach that i have ever been on, the sand is amazing, the sea, crystal. Hard to put in to words, so i will et the photos do the talking as i have switched memory cards.
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand sitwed... but not hugely interesting compared to some that I have seen. Dinner at The Frog - very nicely decorated two level restaurant, balcony, garden patio and NO patrons. The economic downturn has definitely hit Southeast Asia. Everyone who works here has told me that things have really slowed this year and particularly since December. It has been a wonderful, sight-filled, gentle vacation. I have mostly enjoyed the people ...
Koh Lanta, Thailand coolican... snorkelled. We then tried to sneak onto the beach without paying (they've turned it into a national park with a 4 quid entry fee; typical of the Thai's!) and having spent approximately an hour creeping from our boat across the bay to the other side of the beach ...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand icarver... from snorkelling to catch our boat to Phuket, wet trunks and all. It was a nice and easy ride. From Phuket, we flew out to Kuala Lumpur, scored some McDonald's on the way (much needed, we were starving), and just like that our trip in mainland Southeast Asia was over, plenty more ahead, but it was definitely bitter-sweet to leave. Definitely. I think I'll go back sometime, visit the islands, eat some cheep Pad Thai. Well, we'll see if Lauren lets me, or us...
Ko Phi Phi, Thailand 101travel08... a day for the room and just about did us really. There was no sink and no hot water but honestly I think they are both over-rated anyway. The only drawback was the ceiling fan. It was outrageously loud. If you have ever been to the Everglades and gone on one of those boats that has a huge fan on the back to propel it then you know how loud they are. This was just like that but into the bargain it had worked its way free a little and used to reverberate like crazy like it was trying to ...
