Center of Ao Ton Sai Village Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand, 81000, 66-6-5951635

On Friday, my last day at the Wildlife Rescue Centre, I was joined by my sister Jill and our friend Ellie, who had come to Thailand on holiday. It was great to see some familiar faces after so long away from home and I really enjoyed catching up with them. We spent a day at the rescue centre, and I enjoyed showing them round and showing them some of the animals. It's nice that they have been here, as I think it's hard for anybody who hasn't been here to imagine quite what it is like, despite ...
Koh Phi Phi Don, Thailand annekWriting this hungover and with minimal sleep so please excuse spelling, gramatical and all other associated errors that will undoubtably accur! Been hitting the Sang Sung (for those in the dark - Sang Sung is a Thai whiskey/liquor) and redbulls hard recently and feeling the effects of a years quota of redbull in a 2 week period! infact, redbull is becoming less effective and so have turned to something called lipo plus!! It's well hardcore!!! So, Roger and Rob have now left but boy did we pai...
Ko Phi Phi, Thailand jeffsMonday morning in Railay beach, we packed our bags up and walked to the east side of Railay beach where we stood in the rain for the next 45 minutes waiting for the ferry boat. A few notes about traveling in Thailand - if they ask for your receipt before you get on your mode of transport, make sure that you always get a sticker back in return. This will save many headaches later on when you are explaining in really, really simple English that you have paid, and that guy 'over there' took your...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand katdWe arrived in Kho Phi phi tired and drained after two nights of travel. From Chiang Mai we caught an overnight bus to Bangkok. The four of us spent our last day together wondering the streets, eating food and drinking lots of beer. At 6pm Chris, Lauren and Christa said Goodbye to Dan (who was catching an early morning flight back to Melbourne), it was very sad and we all wept uncontrollably on our way to the train station. Yes, it was to be another night on the bus. A 14 hour bus ride to Sura...

Took a sppedboat trip for the day around the islands - Ko Phi Phi, Monkey Bay and Bamboo Island. Beautiful out there, also went to Maya Bay where they filmed 'The Beach' pretty touristy there but so nice! I was proud of myself though managed to swim out in the sea and put my face in the water for snorkling which is a big thing for me as i'm a big wimp haha! Loads of little colourful fish really ...
... growing from the ceiling of the cavern, following our guide through the 90 meters to the otherside that opened up to a sandy beach surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. It was an adventure, but at least the winds were not as strong as the day before when the longtail boat had taken on water. The snorkeling was excellent, dozens of schools of fish of all colors, shapes and sizes ...
KO Lanta island, Krabi, Thailand simplifie1... good sleep and then some sun (FINALLY) on the beach in the morning. but like every other day, we were without a watch and had to catch a boat to.... Phi PHi islands!!! hoping for nicer thais, nicer travelers and nicerwheather, because 2 weeks in thailand without a day at the beach is just strange/// we took the local bus to the harbour and ended up fighting before stettling on a (what seemed to be nice) hotel...
Krabi, Thailand maudrenee... to go to sunbathe having paid for half a day. We can see why with our arms aching but we are still up for the second half of the day. Heading towards our second climbing site we negotiate a walkway through the limestone clifs with stalagtites and stalagmites all around with the backdrop of the clear blue sky. We also walk along a stunning beach on our way, our decision to move on the following day instantly changed by the prospect of spending the day there the following day ...
Krabi, Thailand adam_and_kimSo Jannette and I jumped a bus to Koh Lanta which unfortunately was completely dead as it is low season at the moment so the next day we got another bus to Karbi and then a songtow (local bus)to Ao Nang which is a nice little place with a great beach. We meet some other travellers and had a fun party night. The next day a little hung over we got a long tail boat to Paradise Railay Beach this place is very special with heaps of huge boulders and lots of good ...
Krabi, Thailand schoiePost Phi Phi, our one objective in Krabi was not to swim or see fish. We wanted to see this pretty karst cave and Miracle Beach. Very simple. Fortunately, our little hotel helped us to achieve these goals quite easily. After being dropped off quite randomly (yet again!) in the middle of Krabi town, we wandered in search of...something. Eventually Travis got a map of town, and while this didn't actually help us much we did get our ...
