... overlooking the town (see photos). Napoleon built the fortress to defend Hvar against Venetian assault. The challenging hike up the hill was definitely worth it (see photos). Touring the fortress ensured that we would miss the early bus across the island to Stari Grad (Old Town--a working (vs tourist) fishing village where we needed to board the ferry back to Split). ... had a chance to get rid of them. I spent my last 3 marks on my date for tonight.....well a packet of dates. Day 1. We ferried across to the closest island, crossed to the opposite side and had the entire white pebbled beach to ourselves. Deciding bathers were unnecessary we did a nude streak down to the water, obviously this was a precaution taken to scare off any sharks... Coz we figured they would have been totally grossed out! Had the best Mediterranean picnic under a hot sun and missed the bus back to ...

... retrieved for our first workstay! The ranch we are going to is in the Velebit National park and to be honest I'm not entirely sure what to expect from our stay there. Oh least it's free board! After that I'm not sure where we'll end up but hopefully we can do a Romania/Hungary tour. I think that's all for now! Ciao, M&E Oh wait! I thought of two more things. First and most importantly yesterday as we were walking ...
