For the sailors, we left Komiza at 1010, winds fair @ 7-14 kn, seas <1 ft, and sailed a mostly close reach for 17 nautical miles to Sv. Klement island just off the west end of Hvar. Great sailing day, but with the forecast for strong winds overnight, we opted for the Marina at Palmizana on the nearby island of Sveti Klement. After securing the boat, on Don Ringsmuth's recommendation we took the water taxi to Hvar town, which is a scaled-down composite of St Barts, St ...

We had a couple of hours there, either to explore the town and having a coffee, or for going to the beach - which is what me and Sheryn did. The beach was lovely, and it ws nice to just chill out and sunbathe and swim. This was our last day at the bench, and I know I made the most of it and every minute. On the way back to the boat I bought a rather yummy white chocolate ...

... bailed at about 7pm, went back to the hostel for dinner and the hope that the weather would clear up. It didn't. We ended up drinking with the whole hostel, chatting and playing drinking games until it was time for us to shut up and move to the bars.. I didn't make it... The next day we were all very hungover. It was still raining in the morning, bringing us down even more. A group of 4 of us decided that we couldn't waste the day, and thought that hiring a boat and going for ...

... waited for it to fly off. But it didn't. It just crawled all over my calf for what was probably about 5 seconds but felt like hours, and then Gem decided to flick it away with her jacket, but she must have missed it because it didn't move, and then I freaked out that it would try and get me back for Gems terrible attempt at hurting it. So I pretty much just ran. And it flew off thank god. Way too may close calls for one day. Back to the lakes, they were beautiful. We walked ...
