... by Sarah and Danny, and when we have finished eating along comes Patrick who sits nearby. He cannot see us - his sight must be very poor, no wonder he missed his footing!- but Sarah calls him over. The good news is that the hotel are going to let him stay on and run up a tab until his funds get sorted. Poor guy has totally run out if money. I go to bed wondering if it is foolhardy or brave to travel with such a disability??

For our last night in Sapa, Sarah and I went and treated ourselves to a nice three course meal at a nice restaurant to break the rice and noodle diet. That night we were due to get a night bus back to Hanoi as Lachie, myself, Oli and Alex were due to fly to Bangkok the following afternoon. So we show up at the bus ...

... were rolling in for the night and we were going to have to be patient to see the sea views in their full glory! The next day we decided to hire bicycles to do a bit of exploring as the sun was still not out in force. The island is perfect for scooters but due to all of the hills bicycles are not a popular choice. We managed to find some really cute old school town bicycles with baskets for hire and were excited with the pastel shades on offer! We spent the day finding a ...
