... back with goodies- straight to the pool for swim and g&t for me - now extremely tired as have been on the go without much sleep since 3pm yesterday. We have decided tomorrow will be a chill out day.
Lunch was late -so our provisions will see us through till morning.
Early bed - as Vicki tells me sun rise is 6.15 -and she intends to be running at that time of morning on the beach - I will participate by doing some yoga!

Phuket again.

... herself. We had some special kind of clams and a nice fish from the grill which was really good. The girls were pretty tired so we brought them back to the house abc Michel and I went for a drink at some bar from a Belgian. There were quite a lot of bars in a kind of plot but they weren't very busy. A few friends of Michel came later and also Ive and his daughter Pascalle arrived who stayed with us after Ive left. ... things to do there. This is overt, loud and in your face. The ratio of foreign men to foreign women felt like 10 to 2. Many hand in hand with a young Thai girl (or thai boy) scantily dressed and proudly walking in the street. I felt like I wanted to bathe in disinfectant most of the time there. ... wanted to feed one of the baby elephants! Just as she was feeding them, the battery in the camera died, haha, so I had to dash back to the car to get the mobile phone to take a few!

From here we carried onto Rawai, where you get spectacular views of Chalong Bay and a number of small islands such as, Lone Island, Coral Island and Raya Island, to name a few!

... Anderson thinks durians will remain a niche food: "I don't think we'll see them on the menu at a Jamie Oliver restaurant soon." Perhaps something will be lost in translation: a ripe durian scoffed on a Malaysian beach is surely a more exciting proposition than eating one in a Middlesex semi. Either way, Boris Johnson may wish to draw up the wording for a durian tube ban, just in case they become this year's burger.
