The rest of the grounds had a state fair without the animal stalls and smells. The rides cost upwards of €5, about $7.50 a ride! Some of them were pretty cool looking though, not just your average bumper cars and octopus. Think upside down and spinning that would cover most. Must be fun after the beer tent! ... als den Faden zu verlieren während der Vorstellung kann ich auch nicht. So übermannte mich das immergleiche Gefühl der Neugier und Spannung, als ich das Klassenzimmer betrat. Alles lief nach Plan ... bis ich die ersten Töne zu Mainecoon erklingen ließ. Zunächst waren natürlich alle Schüler darauf gespannt, wie sich dieser Song anhört. So weit, so gut. ... it was delicious. I must say there were more kids at this Oktoberfest then at the one in Munich and trhere were many 15 year olds drinking up a storm! They can all drink better then me Im sure...but we did see one of them yarp his brains out! Awesome!

Without much else to do in Stuttgart we decided to head back to Nuremburg and catch a hockey game before our departure to Vienna.

... and the gardens are really nice. I think the Basel zoo is better as far as animals go, but this one isn't bad for variety. I did not like the small areas where the animals are kept though. It seemed much too small for large wild animals.

Caught a night train from Vienna and arrived in Stuttgardt in the morning. Had a great day wandering and seeing the sights. Yet another map from yet another tourist info place. More statues and old buildings (Boring right? Not by a long shot). Still walking around wide-eyed like kids at Disneyland.

... and order there "national dish". its called Gaisburger Marsch. it was very different from the food i usually eat. its a stew consisting of Spätzle, pieces of potatoes, pieces of beef, vegetables, meat broth and roasted onions. and of course i accompanied this great diner with a beer straight from Stuttgarter Hofbräu. a brewery there in Stuttgart.

Once again I travelled to Stuttgart to meet with friends. This time I took the train from Karlsruhe main station with some people I got in contact through the internet, and ended up only paying 5 euros for my share of a group ticket! I departed Karlsruhe at 8am and arrived in Stuttgart an hour later. On the train I listened to one of the many podcasts (mp3s) on my ipod which has become something of a habit ...
