    The island's capital, Chora, is a collection of 16-18th century whitewashed houses high up on a hill at the base of the Monastery of St. John. We visit a 91-year old local lady in her house in Chora... she looks more like 71 and is a testament to the virtues of climbing stairs every day.     ... we browsed the bazaar, Sue bought a genuine Gucci fake purse and I bought a new pair of sandals, as mine were now in the bin after blowing out the heel.

    ... is, by far, hands down, much more awe-inspiring. One can see where John slept (makes the wooden pew look comfy) and exactly where he stood to write the Apocalypse.
