Around 4:00pm we arrived at the island of Patmos where those who wished were tendered ashore for a few hours. We opted to stay aboard and chill out at the bar with a few others.

Showered and dressed up, shirt and long trousers we decided to fine dine in the dining room for a change tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and being waited on. Retired to the cabin for a well earned ...

Back on the tender for the 5 minute trip back to the ship for a read and write in the sun on our BALCONY ...

This cave was the home of St John when he was banished to Patmos in 95AD when the Emperor Dominican was busy persecuting the ...

... br> Dad, Poppy, Thomas and I visited the War Museum which was in the old Italian built tunnels that was used before and during WWII as ammunition storage. We watched a documentary about the Battle of Leros during WWII and also saw fighter planes and tanks.
When we left Leros, we had to wake at 4am to catch a 5am ferry to Rhodes. We were very tired but Tom and I stayed up and read books on the ferry.

... is, by far, hands down, much more awe-inspiring. One can see where John slept (makes the wooden pew look comfy) and exactly where he stood to write the Apocalypse. You can put your hand in the same crevice John did to hold on to for support, and run your hand over the rock that split into three when John heard the voice of God. There was no droning, no thoughts of impending plans.....just a sense of the Spirit and being enveloped in ...
