At around 11.30, the world settled down, life returned to normal and we and the others emerged from our cabins. It really was quite awful! A later quizzing of our captain revealed that it can get much worse, although he does try to avoid it! He stated that the swell was around 4 metres high....and for a small ship....it is significant. On the Beaumont scale, it rated as a 7...which is "high wind, moderate gale, near gale". Yep, ...
