After we ate, we finally got to walk down to the sandy beach. IT WAS PACKED. Mom was a little disturbed because there were many women without tops on. I thought it was strange too, but I remember reading somewhere that that was custom. The water was a beautiful blue and it was so hot outside that I wished I had brought my swimsuit. I left the hotel at 07:35 as planned for the short walk to the station. The train arrived on time and it was a short ride (40 minutes or so) to Bologna Centrale. I was pleased to find that the car was air conditioned. No one checked my ticket, although I was SURE to validate.
