      ... one Brat and hot dog stand open that served the meat in pretzel buns, so of course Kevin was in heaven.

      Switzerland does not have regular coffee, so you have to get something with espresso and they don't have bagels - only croissants, which are quite delicious.

      ... anyway and enjoyed the prettiness. We saw what may have been the 'castle' which was actually a hotel but we weren't sure. After a while we got too cold and so then we headed home.

      On the way back we stopped at a servo to buy a 'vignette' which is like a road tax which you need to drive in Austria. We are heading there tomorrow and now we are all prepared. Ben also bought a beer at the servo which was huge (I think a litre), which is totally normal ...

      ... there are lots of shops and cafes along the waterfront which look like they will be nice when they are open. Boxing day here there are no sales - everything is still closed. We had a walk around anyway and went up a lookout which was about 10 floors high of just stairs and then a platform on top to look over the lake. It swayed in the wind a bit which was pretty freaky!       ... Allmendingen to begin my reality! My final adventure for the festive season was celebrating New Year at our friend Sebastian's house in Ulm, about half an hour from Allmendingen.
