... as we were all a little tipsy and we lost our guide. The locals were really helpful and one dude even walked us through the maze of platforms to our correct one. We spent another day in Moscow but it wasn't very productive. It was the first day that it snowed heavily - so a walk around Red Square was awesome. Russia is a choice place and if you get the chance make sure you put it on your list. Our tour with On The Go was excellent and we'd definitely recommend them.

We walk around the Kremlin to see it under lights. Misty rain with low cloud, the square is much more empty than during the day and far more atmospheric. <br><br>We find some money 500 rbls, bonus! However it is a strange spot, it is wet, stick it in my pocket and walk on.<br><br>Call it a night and head home to warm up.<br><br><br>Photos coming once we hit Beijing!<br><br><br><br>

... about how they loved Scottish veeskey. We met someone who had wanted to do Astrophysics! Suddenly a half naked girl appeared and started doing Latin dancing. Then people got up to join in and everything went crazy. We joined in on the last dance, managing to pick the **********e to take part in, but it was all good fun and maybe we will go again.<br><br>We look forward to Chris and Jenny's wedding next Tuesday, and a trip to St Petersburg, and maybe the circus!

... 60km from the edge of Moscow - this is one of the places that make up the golden ring. A very different feel from Moscow, very religious, calmer and of course much smaller! I visited the beautiful Monastery there. Wow - I guess I did fit in a lot! I had some chilled out mornings too but also walked A LOT. The police seem to be more aware of night drinking than daytime hard core alcoholism (which is very wide spread or at least it seems to me that way anyway). There is also cigarette smoke everywhere. ... stop at a money exchange place and put my stuff down on the counter as I change some Yen and dollars. You may be thinking the worst with my things sitting on the counter, but it turns out to be dumb luck. I pick up my bags and head for the train to the city. ... 5 minutes of my slow walking up the arrivals area, I was then accosted by about 5 or 6 men exclaiming, "Taxi! Taxi!" In baggage claim there were signs posted warning people about Taxi drivers, they overcharge, and a lot of them are not real taxi drivers...Some held pieces of laminated paper, and pointing to them...yeah, like that makes it legit!
