Woke up at 7am and attempted a Thai breakfast of chicken rice and soup - was ok but I miss my cereal! Got picked up by Uui and taken to Thongbai - she lives right outside my mahouts shack. We cleaned her out, cut plants and fed her. Didn't wear long sleeved top or trousers and now have painful scratches everywhere - note to self to wear more appropriate clothing no matter how hot it is! We were to meet our mahouts at 8am, however, mine was nowhere to be found! So I spent the morning with Katherine and her mahout. We cleaned the areas where her elephants are living - this included collecting all the massive elephant poos and throwing them into one area - gross! We also learnt how to cut sugar cane plants - pretty tiring work in the heat!
