... was closed, so we went back to the pempek place we had went to before with Laila. Rick and Jake had the pempek while I ate the tekwan (clear broth, not as spicy).
It was smoldering hot again, and eating spicy food wasn't helping that situation. --It is getting hotter, I assume because the rainy season is officially over and we are getting deeper into the dry season -- From eating we went to the mall and roamed ourselves right into the arcade where we spent playing ...

... be the main attraction to the monument but to me they were. I spent hours photographing and admiring the interesting displays of history though these carvings. The main attraction of the Monas, I'm sure, would be the lift which takes you to the top of the tower. Unfortunately the lift was broken on my trip here so I couldn't go to top but I can imagine you would see stunning views of Jakarta's CBD from up there.

We left the Monas a few hours after arriving and was back ...

... mall entrance reminded soviet time market with chinese stuff but luckily went through - i was not sure really that inside is smth else!! and found enourmos food stall, lots of fast food restaurants and even furniture, cars and casino style games. So no dinner- fast food only!! Should mention sure that best footware for hanging around are any kind of boots not flip-flops just because of anything You can find on street! And back to paradise-our room! Could not imagine staying ...
