... We then set it aside to rest and started with the sauces, nice and simple as with everything that's good! Not to mention the fact that all the ingredients came from the garden, and most of them we had to go and get ourselves! A tomato and eggplant sauce for the pasta, and a zucchini and thyme sauce for the gnocchi - the next job.

Believe it or not we laid there for over 7 hours! The sky was that sort of azure blue that signifies holidays. There was not a cloud in the sky. The sun actually shone. This was all well over due and well deserved. We had a spectacular view of the lake and a much needed breeze ...

... but hopefully we stocked up on all we needed to for a couple of days.

By the time we got to the campsite it was torrential rain. When we arrived and ran to reception the owner greeted me by name! Luckily she had arranged a site for us for the whole 4 nights we are here. I booked so late that we had been told that we had one pitch for 2 nights then had to move to another pitch for the other 2 nights. We were so thankful we could stay put. ...
