... being so old, I had to make do with the protector from the new GF6. It is slightly smaller but will have to do.

We had a udon dinner at a small restaurant on the basement level of the train station. Cheapest meal yet at 490 yen pp. We made a quick trip to the Tokyu Hands department store for a quick look see.

By the time we got back to the hotel, it was almost 9pm. Time for the obligatory laundry and blog. ...

... shops offered free sake but I did manage to find one that only cost me 100 yen (equivalent to 80 pence gbp) to try as many of the 10 bottles in the display cabinet as possible and I even got to keep the glass as a momento, worth every penny! :) I also went to the traditional folk village, Hido No Sato, but can't really say that I would recommend going if you're ever out this way... best to stick to the in-town ...

... thanks to them we had a $3 room in a 3* guest house. At
first we had a bit of trouble as our room window wouldn't lock. Normally it wouldn't be a problem if we were high from the ground but there was a ledge running along all the rooms. Making it easy for anyone to steal our stuff. After a long debate the staff decided to put a screw through the window frame and window to prevent it from opening, which was perfect for us as we didn't want to have to find ...
