... the drivers announcements were all in Norwegian and I had no wifi. I could have bugged the driver but he seemed to be talking on the phone a lot and I didn't think he really needed any other distraction. Also didn't help that halfway up my bladder decided to make itself known, and there were no toilets on the bus. Harald had insisted I take sandwiches for the journey, which came in handy otherwise I would have gotten quite ...

... Eventually we came to Aurland fjord. Now looking at my ipad maps, it is 224km from Aurland to the norwegian sea. This morning I was up early to catch the 8.05 to Hovet to meet my cousins dad. On the train I had my eyes glued to the window almost the entire way. It is really pretty here. Huge mountains covered in forest, except for where the rocky cliffs jut out. Every so often we would come across a small patch of land which had been cleared for agriculture. No more than about 60 acres. Almost every barn I saw was red with a white trim. I think that maybe that's the ...

      My first fish

We had a day of driving and occasional fishing. In the evening, Hannes had a headache so we decided to stay where we were. Luckily, just behind a small forest, there were some beautiful rocks right at the sea. We set up our tent on the mossy Rock and started fishing. With my second attempt at this place, I was lucky and got a 6kg codfish! We couldn't eat it so we had to store it until the next day ...
