After attempting to charge us extra for ac they must have felt bad and brought the remote up. No English meant some fun charades although am still unaware of some of what she meant. Great Buffett feed at the local hotel, got kicked out after drinking more than our share of beer, I don't think he understood when we said we were nzers. Great star gazing on the beach. A long way out from split was an fun adventure.

... our required tickets to Korcula on Sept 10. We have been told, and read everywhere, that tickets can only be purchased 24 hours in advance. The very kind lady at Jadrolinija ticket window didn't blink an eye as she sold us our required tickets. Now, to get the bus tickets from Korcula to Dubrovnik sorted.... Happily, the restaurant with no food found some in time for breakfast, which was a relief. We could therefore resume our long trek to the south Dalmatian Coast with full stomachs. We departed the slightly quirky Hotel Kacar after a further bout of mild teasing from the droll receptionist. After nine countries and nearly seven weeks, we encountered our first border controls between Slovenia and Croatia, but the good old British passport got us through without a hitch.

... week and that bus left at 4:00PM and did not arrive until 11:00PM in Kotor. Having to come back up to Split actually put us too far North of where we were trying to get to...Montenegro. So we had made the decision to just skip Vis since logistically it was getting a bit crazy.

Well, though I was the one that had actually suggested skipping the island to Mike and he just goes with it and said okay, my decision was tugging at me. Mike fell ...

... I didn't know any of the songs!

We treated ourselves to one nice meal out. I had a seafood risotto, and the seafood was so fresh. It was amazing. I can understand why the Romans would need to throw up and eat more because it tasted so great! I could have skipped the risotto part and only eaten seafood!

It felt a little bit like we zipped in and out of Split, but in the short time we were there, I determined it is my favourite place in Croatia so ...
