After attempting to charge us extra for ac they must have felt bad and brought the remote up. No English meant some fun charades although am still unaware of some of what she meant. Great Buffett feed at the local hotel, got kicked out after drinking more than our share of beer, I don't think he understood when we said we were nzers. Great star gazing on the beach. A long way out from split was an fun adventure.

We spent the next hour writing yesterday's blog while enjoying the relief from the heat. It has been very hot and humid and to feel the air move made us much more comfortable. We walked back through the streets of Old Town one last time, passing by the front gate and down the steps. We were both pretty tired still from the night before, so we headed back ...

Even though it has a descent amount of people living here, most are quartered on the outskirts of the tourist district and once off the bus, the city gets quite small. The biggest attraction of Split sits on the shoreline of the bay - Diocletian's Palace. More of an ...

... three local ladies who, in an open kitchen, produced simple, yet incredible, dishes which changed daily depending on what was good that day. It is the first place on this trip that I have been back to more an once, in fact I ended up having three meals there and will be going back for another when I go back to split after the islands. Everything form the grilled lamb to the clam and mussel risotto were fantastically good and yet extremely ...

... large swells all the way back to split. The girls all enjoyed a well deserved sleep in and the boat handled the conditions very well. Then once again the challenge of berthing the boat at the marina in Split with only one engine and very strong winds. With some good boat handling by Kevin and the use of every inch of anchor chain on the boat we eventually got it moored after an hour of hard work. By then it was 12.30. The other couple on ...
