Historical Traveler Reviews of Perfect Hostel Paris
Absolutely Perfect

I could not have been more impressed by this lovely hotel. It is a great deal and located in a neat part of the city. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The only issue was the directions, we were lost for about three hours before we got there. Best way to get there is to take the metro to the cadet station and walk up cadet until it changes names. Then take a left on Ave. Tourigne (or something like that), and you'll hit Rue Rodier. Other than that, the place really fits its name.
A Fantastic Place

I visited Paris twice, and stayed at Hotel Perfect both visits. The easy accessibility to the metro station (an easy walk), and the professionalism of the staff (especially the daytime concierge) was outstanding for such a small establishment. I stayed in #19 and loved the terrace view. The price was resonable, too. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Perfect honeymoon

We stayed at the Hotel Perfect for our honeymoon. We were on a budget and it was cheap enough. We had a great time. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is so well named. Hotel Perfect.

My Husband, myself and 2 of our Adult Children had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Perfect in January of 2002, we found the Hotel advertised in the travel magazine, and could not have been happier, it is so authentic and the Older Gentlemen who obviously run the Hotel were just charming,I am heading back to Paris in August 2004 and will certainly be staying here again. Also it is so handy to must see treasures of Paris this only adds to the recommendation that I give.
Nice hotel, kind and friendly staff, close to the Anvers metro station.

My wife and I stayed there for a week. The rooms are small, but nice and clean. There is what you need and nothing more. No radio or tv-set.
You can only have your breakfast there, bread, butter and coffee. The staff are nice and polite, speaking french and english. Nous reviendrons/ we beback for sure!
Not Perfect

Rooms are small - fair enough, it's cheap.
Problem is, the walls are like paper. You can hear what's going on in all the rooms around you, but the worst thing is the water systems. If somebody in the room above/below/next to you runs a tap/flushes the toilet/has a shower, you can hear the water moving round thr hotel.
This is fine at 10am, when somebody gets a shower, but when it's 12:30 AM and you're up the next day at 8 am to go to Versailles, it is not good when the guy upstairs decides to use the toilet before bed.
It was perfect!

My son first told me about the Perfect Hotel when he and his friend stayed there several years ago. My sister and I took his advice and had the most pleasant stay two years ago. Since then we have spread the word about this lovely, very clean, friendly and cheap place to stay.
This spring I'm taking my 3 children back to Paris and guess where we're staying? No where but the perfect hotel!
Authentic and Cheap and Perfect

I am not kidding when I say that this hotel lives up to its name. It is gritty, no doubt, but it is authentic. When so much of Europe has been swallowed up by the Holiday Inn and the Hilton, this little gem stays true and quaint. My room had a little writing table, a basin, and a balcony where I could sit and smoke and watch the light ped traffic of Rue Rodier go by. It is a neighborhood hotel. There are good cafes and restaurants near by and it is close to the Anvers station. The Woodstock Hostel is across the street and is more expensive then this hotel. The Perfect Hotel is authentic. I wish I had my typewriter as I felt as if I was on my way to meet Breton or Eluard or Duchamp and I needed to write a letter home to say that I would be staying for quite some time. It is near the setting of Breton's "Nadja" as luck has it.
I love the perfect hotel!!!

I love this place! It's great. I booked at the Woodstock hostel which I found online that was across the street from Hotel Perfect, it's horrible over there. Don't even think about it - for the same amount of money you get 50x the space and 1000x the satisfaction. The people that own it are really nice and helpful, they should be charging more for this place. Breakfast is awesome. Of course if you've got money to burn, you could go elsewhere, but this is a great alternative to a hostel because it's so much nicer. Even for a cheap hotel this place is great.... I can't wait to go back to Paris so I can stay there again. I seriously thought I hit the jackpot finding this place... it's superb for 15 euros a night!
Great deal

This is not a fancy hotel. The rooms are small, but is you are looking for a looking to spend your money in the marvelous museums and restaurants this is a great place to stay. The setting is Montmarte is charming, the morning baguette with butter and jellyalong with coffee is excellent( no one in the States makes a baguette like th French) and the hotel is only a few blocks from the Anvers metro station. (if yu are looking for a charming little restaurant stop at Le Buffet restaurant on the street to Sacre Couer).
