      Nice breakfast followed by a day of sight seeing. 31c here so a bit hot. The town was founded in about 973 when a German emperor gave the territory of Loka as a present to a Bishop in Bavaria. It is interesting to note that the majority of older houses here are only three windows wide. This is because taxes depended on the number of windows and if you had a house that was four windows wide you paid a far higher price. Consequently families built two houses next to each other and ...
