... cemetery has family mausoleums dating back to the early 19th century. They have a grate in front of the altar, statue or effigy decorating the sanctuary. Looking further, you see a deep hole lined with shelves or covering plaques hiding the remains of family members. After hot chocolate and wifi, we walk up the hill beside the lake to what looks like a large old Hotel set over the water in manicured gardens. It was a Cardinal's palace built in 1598. What A Night!

A travel blog entry by travellinghutch on Nov 05, 2014

Now where are all my party people?! In the city of Milan, Italy, the night does not begin
until about 1 am. Back in Canada if someone is awake later than
midnight, it is likely they are either in bed watching a movie with a
bag of chips or bowl of ice cream (all you ladies, you know what i am
talking about. We have alllll been there so please save the trouble
of denying it!), or selling drugs in dark ...

gone through much improvement so far and compared to many other
italian children, Clara is one of the best. I have made an English
friend who works with kids and through my research and discussions, ...

My time in Milan was spent walking around, visiting museums, photographic exhibitions, eating
amazing meals, drinking good micro brewery beers and getting to know Cristina's friends and lifestyle.

I even got to see 'The Last Supper' by Leonardo Da Vinci. This was an amazing surprise from Cristina as it's usually a few months waiting list to get in. They only ...

    First full day in Milano

A travel blog entry by bkmuir on Sep 05, 2014

... Took photos of amazing lead lights and architecture. Then went to see the Last Supper painting next door but were told you have to book tickets by phone the day before. What a shame! Had a giant piece of Parma pizza near the metro for lunch which was only 4.24 euros. Yummy! Off to Porto de Venezia for shops. Didn't make it to the recommended place as I had walked for 15 minutes and it was still another 30 to go. It was pretty hot ...
