... guys on a boat when we were swimming at Shella and they said they could do a bonfire for 300 each which was a really good price. We were taken to Manda Beach which is an island just across from Lamu and has a much bigger beach. It just so happened to be a full moon that night so it was perfect timing. ... Shela which is pretty intense in the heat but still very pleasant due to the beautiful scenery en route. We have to dodge at least 20 donkey on the walk - the main means of transporting anything and everything on the small island, most of them also wander free after a hard day’s work. The town is very old and we are shown all of the sights.
