    ... misc. last night we had a dinner party and were later joined by some some neighbors for drinks and chatter. Oh, and we decorated the Christmas tree. It had been sitting here largely ignored for a number of years. So I took it outside and washed it off. We added some lights we bought at the local night market and re-applied the existing ornaments in a less random manner. It looks good. Festive. . It'll be our gift to the house.     After a painful Sunday with Thomas having picked up a stomach bug (probably from T eating street food with Dad watching Barcelona), we headed back to Bangkok only to be caught in the Queen's motorcade travelling back from the Royal retreat in Hua Hin... 6 hours later we got back to Bangkok. Painful weekend!

    Woke up late, and went to the train station to buy tickets to Malaysia. After, we went to a modern mall with air conditioning to buy groceries.     ... the last few days, due to over booking at the centre I was asked if I would be interested in working on the widelife section for a bit, so on Saturday I was assigned to work on Primates 2, the penultimate stage f gibbon rehabilitation before their release into the wild.     Cha-am is cool. It is a couple of hours by bus from Bangkok. It is totally off the the tourist path and is mostly a beach destination for Thai students wanting to get out of Bangkok for the weekend. It has an ok beach, great seafood and is cheap cheap cheap.
